English Basket Hilt sword for sale!

Not quite the KOL period I know but I am also aware that some of you do re-enact other time periods as well.
So if any of you also do late Elizabethan or English Civil war re-enactment you might be interested in purchasing yourself a unique “English Basket Hilt” sword as shown in the pictures, or you may know someone who might be interested!

I had it made by Armour Class as a one off for when I was doing the Border Reivers re-enactment and it was delivered the week before my last ever Reivers event!!!
Consequently it has been used only once for about five minutes.

The blade is approx 31” long, basket approx 6.5” long and the actual grip is approx 4” long. Scabbard is 4mm thick leather.

It’s a very nice sword complete with scabbard and it deserves to be getting used rather than gathering dust on my wardrobe top!

It cost me £170 new and I’m looking for £120.00 or nearest offer plus postage. Obviously I could deliver it to someone at one of our shows and that would save a few bob on postage. I’m sure I can come to some agreement about spreading the cost over a period of time if someone wanted it but didn’t have the cash to hand.

Send me a PM if you are interested or know someone who might be!
